It's been three months since Mike Sorrentino reported to prison to begin serving an 8-month sentence on tax fraud charges.
The Sitch is admittedly guilty of concealing more than $9 million in earnings from the government, but because of the ways in which he's turned his life around and dedicated himself to service in recent years, he's been on the receiving end of an outpouring of sympathy and real concern.
But while we're sure Mike would prefer to be at home with his new wife Lauren Pesce, it seems fans need not worry that his time behind bars will undo all his recent progress.
In fact, it seems Sorrentino is loving life behind bars.
We've already heard reports that Mike is having a blast in the clink -- getting his GTL on (maybe without the "T"), forming friendships, and helping his sober inmates remain on the right path.
Now, Mike's Jersey Shore castmate Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi has confirmed that prison fits The Sitch like a freshly ironed Ed Hardy t-shirt.
In a recent interview with E! News, Nicole revealed that Mike is "having the time of his life" on the inside.
"It's like he's in a senior home, he's playing Bingo, he's helping people recover in jail," she shared.
"We all talk to him through an email, so I talk to him like once a week.
Snooks says we might even see a return to form for Mike after his release:
"He's in the gym a lot, so he's probably gonna come out ripped," she told E!
You know, he's not gonna be BDS anymore–Big Daddy Sitch–he's gonna have his, probably, six-pack again. But he's doing...he's doing good in there."
Of course, we're sure part of the reason that Mike's time is going so smoothly is that -- as with the rest of the world -- life behind bars is easier for the rich and famous.
But the important thing is that he's paying it forward by leading group therapy sessions and otherwise lending his much help to his fellow recovering addicts as he can.
Elsewhere in the interview, Snooks opened up about Jenni Farley's divorce from Roger Mathews, and surprisingly, she says the split is now going smoothly:
"Jenni is doing amazing, everyone's going through their own s--t right now, it's like, we should have a reality show...we do!" Snooki revealed.
"So, Jenni is doing amazing, obviously hard times, but I've never seen her more confident and happier and, you know, just things don't work out. So, hopefully, everything will work out, they could co-parent and call it a day."
It's a far cry from a few months ago when Jenni accused Roger of abuse and vowed to deny him any and all custody rights.
Currently, Snooki is pregnant with her third child, and she offered E! a candid account of what life looks like in her increasingly crowded household these days:
"Right now, I'm seven months, and this pregnancy is probably the worst," she told the outlet.
"Just because I'm chasing around a 4 and a 6-year-old, I'm not really having time to rest or sleep or do any of that, which is fine, but I'm grumpy."
Polizzi added:
"And I'm ready for this to be over.
"I'm super excited to have a third baby though, but I know it's gonna be so stressful because everyone says the third one...that's the baby that makes you crazy. And I'm already crazy."
Lots going on with our favorite gang of guidos these days.
Snooki's right -- this crew should really have a reality show!
