Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi adamantly denies reports that her husband, Jionni Lavalle, used Ashley Madison, but new reports hint at an ulterior motive.
Rumors put Jionni Lavalle on Ashley Madison, the infamous site where married men search for mistresses, but the Jersey Shore star wasn't having it.
Snooki lambasted the media, tabloids and social media users who would DARE insinuate that the father of her two small children is a cheater.
This is not the first Snooki divorce talk, however, and a source close to the 27-year-old says she is defending her man for one surprising reason:
She feels she has no other choice.
“Nicole never signed a prenup before marrying Jionni,” an insider tells Radar. “Her family and friends insisted she get one, but she vehemently refused.”
Snook is worth upwards of $4 million, meaning that if she initiated a divorce, Jionni LaValle would become an instant millionaire twice over.
Whether it's a combination of being too proud to admit she should've gotten a prenup, denial about the current state of affairs, or both, it's not good.
Trouble has dogged them since the onset - long before they married in November 2014 - and rumors of Jionni cheating have been the focal point.
“They have had some knock-down, drag-out fights,” a source said. “He is frequently away on golf trips with his boys, and they go out and party.”
"They have had some issues in the past. Jionni was the one who was starting the arguments. I think where there is smoke there is fire."
The primary issue? Both parties feel that the other spends too much time partying, and Snooki and Jionni are both the jealous type.
Not a good combination, although it does make you wonder if Polizzi's defense of her husband is tinged with at least a kernel of truth.
